Taifun took a convincing revenge for the previous defeat
Yesterday in Kondopoga, hockey players from Primorye played their first match, losing to Hors-Karelia in the extra period with a score of 4:5. In the second game, held on September 10, the same number of goals were scored, but Taifun had a great advantage.
Primorye team opened the scoring after two minutes, converting their many men advantage, and by the end of the second period led 6:0. However, before the intermission, the hosts managed to beat Artem Kotushenok, and at the start of the final frame converted power play - 2:6. Ilgiz Nuriyev's team did not allow their opponents to build on their success, closing the scoring with a seventh goal.
The team's forward Ivan Fomin scored the most points - 2+3. Stepan Levitsky, Taifun’s top last season scorer, stood out with a solo pass. He also took part in the textbook alike attack, which was completed by Maxim Gordiyuk. The game of the young goalie of Primorye team Artyom Kotushenok is also worth highlighting, in his debut game this season, the goaltender reflected 28 of 30 shots and earned his first win in the JHL. At the same time Taifun hockey players converted 7 out of 28 shots on goal.
