First home match against the leaders of the “Golden” division

On September 19, Taifun will play their first home match of the new season! The team of the “Golden” division - Moscow Spartak will visit Primorye squad. Start of the meeting at 19:00, entrance is free!
Our team
After the first away series Taifun returned to Vladivostok with five points after four meetings. In the first game in Stupino Taifun lost to Kapitan 1:4 but took revenge in a shootout series the next day 3:2. In the first game in Kondopoga Primorye team demonstrated a sharp game, equalizing the score at the last second of the meeting, but lost in overtime - 4:5. The next day Ilgiz Nuriev's team took a convincing revenge - 7:2.


Opponent

JHC Spartak is a team from Moscow with a rich history, it was founded in 2009. It is a youth team of Spartak from the KHL.
The team still has its offensive leaders, but there were major changes in the defense line. Also, two main goalies were a part of Red-and-White lineup. In the off-season, Spartak got Taifun forward Stepan Tarasenko as a result of exchange with HC Admiral.
Spartak finished the 2023/2024 regular season in third place with 74 points and 29 wins in regulation time. This is the team's best result since the 2017/2018 season. In the 1/4 finals of the Kharlamov Cup, the Red-and-White team lost to the future trophy winner - SKA-1946.
In June 2023, Alexander Barkov became the head coach of JHC Spartak, he also leads the team in the 2024/2025 season.
At the beginning of the new season, the Red-and-White team shows a confident game and goes on without defeat! Spartak has five victories in regulation time and one in a shootout series.

History of meetings
Taifun and Spartak had 28 face-to-face meetings. The Primorye team has 7 victories, while the Red-and-Whites have 20 wins in regulation time and one in overtime.
Last season Taifun lost to Spartak 1:9 on home ice. The revenge in Moscow did not happen, Spartak won 3-1.

Leaders
Ivan Fomin became the best rookie of the second week in the JHL. The 17-year-old forward played two games where he scored two goals and made five assists. The forward is among the league's top ten assistants.
Roman Trofimov, Taifun captain, rounds out the JHL's top ten the most penalized players, with 25 minutes of penalties after three games.
Spartak goaltender Yaroslav Kuzmenko is in the JHL's top 5 in GOA, and he has one shut-out game.
