Success again!
On Thursday, October 3, on the ice of Fetisov Arena Taifun played a match against SKA-Yunior. In the previous game, which took place the day before, the Primorye team defeated the guests with a score of 4:2.
Unlike the previous game, which was more dynamic, this match was more dramatic.
Most of the action in this game occurred in the second half. Pavel Gavrilko opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the game. The forward scored his first goal in the JHL, and he made it in the brightest way possible. Gavrilko made a magnificent solo run from the middle of the rink, bypassing a defender and outplaying the goalkeeper – 1:0. Ten minutes later, Daniil Sokolov received a pass in front of the net from Andrei Florovsky and doubled lead of Taifun – 2:0.
At the beginning of the third period, SKA-Yunior added intrigue to the match. Daniil Anatsky reduced his team's deficit to a minimum – 2:1. Ruslan Kakenov had to make several key saves to keep his team in the game. In the end, the Army men didn't cause any significant problems. In the last seconds of the match, Stepan Levitsky secured Taifun’s victory by scoring into an empty net.
The final score was 3:1.
This victory allowed Ilgiz Nuriyev's team to rise to third place in the Silver Division standings.
Taifun will play their next match at Fetisov Arena on Sunday, October 6. They will host Moscow's Krylya Sovetov. The game will start at 17:00, admission is free.
