Taifun failed to convert their opportunities in Tula
On October 20, Taifun played a return match against AKM-Junior. The day before the Primorye team lost to the hosts 3:4.
In the first period, the Primorye team had power play three times. They spent most of the time in the opponent's zone, trying to score goals, but could not beat another team’s goaltender. By the first intermission the score was 0:0.
10 seconds after the start of the second period, the numbers on the scoreboard changed, but not in favor of Taifun. A couple of minutes later the guests said their word. Artyom Plaksin fought for the puck at the boards, passed it behind the goal to Fomin, who returned it when Plaksin was passing the goalie - 1:1. But soon Taifun became a catcher again. Zhdanovsky lost the puck in the middle zone, Nevretdinov immediately ran one-on-one and scored a double - 2:1.
The opponents shared the initiative for most of the third period. Both teams acted more cautiously, and the pace of the game slowed down. Towards the end of the period, Damir Nevretdinov intercepted the puck from Ivashinnikov and again went on a rendezvous with the goalie, the attack ended with a hat-trick for the opponent – 3:1. There was not much time left to change the situation for the Primorye team, but it was impossible to use it in the right way. At an important moment, the team captain Vasily Pets was penalized. The Tula team was able to capitalize on the many men advantage, completely depriving Taifun of a response.
The result of the match was 4:1.
The away series for Taifun is over. The team is returning to Vladivostok for a month.
