Down with bad luck!
Taifun ended October with a home win over Cherepovets Almaz, breaking a five-game losing streak.
The team played well but couldn't score points. Almaz is not the easiest opponent, the last time Primorye beat them was in February 2021 (4:3 SO).
The first period was an equal fight, the teams were seizing each other up. The hosts were more active at the end of the period, and they converted their opportunities in the second period.
In the 21st minute, Ivan Fomin passed the puck to Levitsky, who broke through to the goal at speed and opened the scoring – 1:0. Five minutes later, Taifun doubled their lead. Maxim Gordiyuk brought the puck to Levitsky, who passed it back to Strochkin, and Roman pushed the puck into the goal – 2:0. In the same period, the opponent scored an own goal, Ivan Fomin made an unfortunate mistake in the bustle near Privalov’s goal – 2:1.
After the missed puck, Taifun had many chances to increase the lead – Zhdanovsky and Levitsky were unlucky with their scoring opportunities.
In the third period, Primorye managed to make a more comfortable advantage. Ivan Fomin won the fight at the boards and threw the puck to the goal on Plaksin's stick - 3:1. Taifun managed to keep the score unchanged and achieved an important victory.
Taifun will play the next games against Red Army on November 10 and 12. The matches will start at 17:00 and 19:00. Admission to junior team matches is free.
