Taifun had a tough match against AKM-Junior, losing to the hosts with a score of 3:4.
Just a minute and a half after the start of the match, the hosts opened the score. They managed to even the score towards to the middle of the period. Taranenko and Gordiyuk were dealing with the puck on the crease, Gordiyuk threw it to Strochkin, the forward did the job in an instant - 1:1.
Soon, the Primorye team was left on the ice with only three players against five opponents, with one penalized player coming out, the "juniors" still managed to score - 2:1.
Taifun entered the second period with a many men advantage, which they managed to convert quickly. Ivashinnikov received the puck from Kuznetsov and sent it to the goal with a powerful wrist shot - 2:2. They did not have time to celebrate, as the hosts were ahead again. Leonid Zhdanovsky managed to catch up again three minutes later, having successfully converted a one-on-zero – 3:3.
In the third period, Taifun tried to turn the tide of the match, but AKM-Junior took the lead again, scoring in the power play. At the end of the match, the Primorye team put all their forces into the attack, but thay were unable to tie the score. The AKM-Junior goalie blocked 48 shots during the game
The match result was 4:3.
Tomorrow, October 20, a repeat match between the teams will take place. The start is at 13:00 Moscow time (20:00 Vladivostok time).
