The game with the most titled club of the Extraleague
On August 26, Admiral will meet with the contender of the Belarusian championship - team Yunost from Minsk. In the preseason Minsk team played 9 games, most of them at the Salei Cup tournament. Yunost players passed the group stage easily, won six games out of six, becoming one of the most productive teams of the tournament. The Final Four is coming, but it starts on August 28.
During the training camp Junost also played with team we heard about not so long ago - the Norilsk club. The VHL contenders lost 1:4.
Last season
Yunost won in 10 championships in the Belarusian Extraleague, the club holds a title of the most award-winning club. However, another team is dominant in recent years. And it was them who knocked Yunost out of the cup race. Minsk finished the regular championship of the last year in the third place. In the first stage of the playoffs, which is considered quarterfinals, Yunost met with the future Extraleague champion - Zhlobin Metallurg. Minsk team could not stop three-time winner.
Familiar faces
We couldn't find any hockey players who played for Admiral or for the Far Eastern teams on Yunost's application list. But if you look in the club programs of the last years, you can once again see that in the hockey world, distance means little. After two years on the shores of the Japan sea, former Admiral defenseman Kirill Dyakov went straight to the capital of Belarus and continued his career at Yunost.
Upcoming match
The game between Admiral and Yunost will be held on the ice of the Olympic Arena. The beginning is at 17:00. The broadcast link will be published later.
