Summer revenge
While SKA Arena is being renovated, the title of the largest hockey stadium in the KHL is held by Minsk Arena. It was here that the match between local Dinamo and Primorye Admiral took place on August 27.
After the defeat against Minsk Yunost, Leonids Tambijevs let the optimal lineup take the ice, and most likely that it will be the main one in the season. The trio of Gutik, Shen and Starkov returned to the ice. In the previous game against the Bisons they scored 6 pucks for three.
The teams did not let each other hold the initiative throughout the first period. The teams had two PP each but failed to convert their scoring opporotunities. The special units worked hard, and the Sailors even managed to open the scoring with four men on the ice. Yegor Petukhov snatched up an opponent in their own zone, ran away from defenders and cold-bloodedly put the puck under the crossbar for a 1:0 lead.
The second period didn't go well for Admiral. In 20 minutes the Sailors had only two shots on goal of Andrei Karev, while Dinamo gave Vasily Demchenko a lot of work. On 23 minutes Vitaliy Pinchuk equalized the score, and 10 minutes later Daniil Sotishvili put the Bisons ahead 1:2.
In the final period, the Minsk players only strengthened their advantage. Vitaliy Pinchuk scored a double on 43 minutes, and five minutes before the end of regulation time the Sailors got several penalties. First, Nikita Makeyev got five minutes for boarding, then Kamil Fazylzyanov went to the penalty box for sticking an opponent. The Sailors coped with such a difficulty but failed to score pucks like the first one. The result of the match 1:3 - Dinamo Minsk takes revenge.
