On August 23, Admiral played against Dinamo Minsk. The Bison fielded their optimal lineup for the game against the Sailors. Their new star Vadim Shipachyov was the only one missing.
The goal-scoring siren sounded in the first minute of the opening frame. Stepan Starkov scored after a pass from Danil Gutik, 1:0. Ten minutes later, the puck was in Andrei Kareyev's goal again. Gutik scored one more time. Danya made a pass to the far post, but the defender of Minsk team failed to set up his stick and sent the puck into his own net 2:0. Dinamo didn't let Admiral to go to the intermission with a shutout. Vadim Moroz took away Georgy Solyannikov and sent the puck under the crossbar with a powerful shot 2:1.
At the beginning of the second period, the Sailors got a power play. It took them less than 10 seconds to get the goal. Pasha Shen won a faceoff, Muranov picked up the puck and passed it to Starkov, and he finished the attack by sending the puck into the net 3:1. A minute later, the Bison got another penalty for and conceded another puck. This time Pavel Shen scored, 4:1. Such a significant difference in the score made the Dinamo players wake up. Ilya Usov scored on 27 minutes, and in the end of the period the same Moroz reduced the point deficit to 4:3.
Dinamo started the third period actively and made a tough onslaught in the Sailors' zone. Leonids Tambijevs’ team was able to hold off all the attacks and started dominating the game. Semyon Ruchkin increased the score difference. A few minutes later, Stepan Starkov got a hat-trick. In the end of the game, Danya Gutik put the puck under Velmakin's ear from a tough angle. The final score was 7:3, a confident victory in the first game against Dinamo Minsk. The second game will be on Tuesday.
