Another match for the Sailors took place in Minsk as part of their preseason training camp. This time, Leonids Tambijevs’ team faced the VHL team Norilsk.
This time, the trio of Shen, Gutik, and Starkov watched the match from the stands, while Rodewald, Fiore, and Shmelyov took to the ice.
In the first period, Norilsk was playing shorthanded for 12 out of 20 minutes. The Sailors managed to score during a power play only once – with a 5-on-4 advantage, the puck went into Smirnov's net off the skate of Artyom Alyaev. The goal was officially credited to Dmitry Zavgorodniy, making it 1:0.
In the second period, goals were scored by both former and current Sailors. First, Mikhasyonok shined again. The young forward has now scored four times during the training camp. Then, while playing with a 3-on-5 disadvantage, the Sailors conceded a goal from Vladislav Kaletnik. The current captain of Norilsk played for Admiral in the 2021/2022 season. Anton Sagadeev restored the two-goal lead by scoring from behind the net. After that, Anokhovsky scored after a precise pass from Nikolayev. Towards the end of the period, Yegor Yakovlev, who also had previously played for the Vladivostok team, scored, making it 4:2.
Just 11 seconds into the third period, Giovanni Fiore converted scoring opportunity during the power play, making the score a comfortable 5:2. This score remained unchanged until the end of the game.
