Vasily Pets: “It's a great honor for me to play for our Primorye team”
Taifun defenseman Vasily Pets answered the questions before the match with Dynamo Moscow.
You returned to Vladivostok about a week ago, played the first match at Fetisov Arena. Can you share how does it feel to come back and play for your hometown team?
Coming back to Vladivostok is a very important thing for me. My family and friends are here, and I admit I've had a lot of rest this week. I recovered emotionally, and I was physically preparing for the upcoming matches. It is a great honor for me to play for our Primorye team, and I am ready to show my best game.
How was your weekend?
I spent the weekend with my family, I haven't seen them for a while. By the way, I picked up my niece from school for the first time.
What are your personal goals for the upcoming season?
Personal goals for the season? I want the team to play well, to show our best hockey. Personal achievements of each player will come together with team successes.
What is the mood of the team after the first home match?
The first home match showed that we can play with all teams. The main thing is to believe in ourselves and not to give up.
What can you say about the next opponent - Dynamo Moscow? What aspects of their game should be considered?
Dynamo is a good opponent with strong players. Their style of play is similar to Spartak's. It is important not to give them easy scoring opportunities, and then we will win this game.
