Typhoon will play against Atlant
On Wednesday, March 5, Typhoon will face Atlant of Mytishchi on its own ice. The game starts at 9:00 a.m. GMT.
Admission to the games of the youth team is free.
Our team – Typhoon, Primorye Territory
Primorye team returned in late February from a month-long away series and started a home stand in Vladivostok on March 1st. Ilgiz Nuriev's team will play the final seven games of the season.
Typhoon's main purpose is to move up from the last line of Silver Division standings. Now the team is separated by 7 points from fifth place, having 33 points (9th place).
Opponent – Atlant, Moscow Region
Atlant spent the 2023/2024 season in Silver Division. It was Lemtyugov's first championship as head coach: he moved to Mytishchi from Magnitogorsk, where he worked as an assistant with Steel Foxes. The team was constantly in the group of leaders and took second place. In the play-in, Atlant bet out Red Army (2:1, 4:1), and in the first round of the playoffs, Mytishchi team gave battle to the favorite and future runner-up – Loko. Atlant won the opening game of the series in Yaroslavl (2:1), but couldn’t exploit the success (1:6, 2:5, 2:5). At the end of the last season, the team managed to move to Gold Division.
This season Atlant is on the verge of relegation to Silver Division, still fighting with Amur Tigers for the play-in zone. The team ranks ninth – the last place of Gold Division, having 34 points.
Recently Atlant played in Khabarovsk: the guests won 4:2, but the next day the Tigers took revenge by shootout 2:1 SO.
Confrontation record
There were 33 games between Typhoon and Atlant. Atlant has 23 wins in regulation time and 2 wins by shootout, while Typhoon has 7 wins in regulation time and 1 win in overtime.
In early December, the teams played in Mytishchi, when Typhoon lost 1:5.
