The streak of bad luck
On December 15, Taifun played the first game of the Far Eastern series. The Primorye team met Amur Tigers in Khabarovsk.
The hosts were dominating in the beginning of the game. The Tigers acted confidently in the attack, only occasionally making mistakes, and by the middle of the first period they were already leading with a score of 2:0. However, in the second half of the period, Taifun gradually began to increase the pace. The hosts' penalty helped the Primorye team - Ivan Fomin scored a minute before the break - 2:1.
At the start of the second period, Fomin scored a double. In the middle of the meeting, Demyan Ermak put Taifun ahead. The forward finished the attack after passes from Fomin and Florovsky - 2:3. But soon the Amur Tigers evened the score, and 10 seconds before the intermission they took the lead, scoring during a power play – 4:3.
Taifun spent the third period trying to catch up with their opponents and sometimes came close to it. However, 7 seconds before the final siren, the hosts sent the fifth puck into the Primorye team’s goal, setting the final score of the match.
The match result was 5:3.
