The second game began with a lightning-fast goal of the hosts: Red Army opened the score after 16 seconds. Five minutes later Typhoon regained the balance. Yegor Chebykin shot on goal, and Alexander Grigoryan scored on the rebound – 1:1. The Muscovites took the lead again before halftime, but Typhoon players were able to catch them up in the second period.
Stepan Levitsky passed the puck to Roman Yefimov, and Nikita Kryukov ended the moment – 2:2. Soon Typhoon had two opportunities to capitalize on the power play, but failed to outplay Red Army goalie. The typical hockey rule worked out: if you don't score, they do. In the 33rd minute, Red Army took the lead for the third time – 3:2, and soon the next puck got into Alexey Noskov’s net. However, the attentiveness of Typhoon coaching staff played into the hands of Primorye team: Ilgiz Nuriev took a request for a missed stoppage of play, referees watched a replay of the moment and, as a result, overruled the goal due to a hand pass.
In the third period, the Army men still scored their fourth goal, and after a couple of power play attempts, they hit the fifth puck into the visitors' net. There wasn't much time for a comeback, but Primorye team managed to reduce the gap a couple minutes before the final buzzer. Nikita Kryukov scored a double, assisted by Stepan Levitsky and Ruslan Telgozhaev.
Result – 5:3.
Later Typhoon will go to Bobruisk to play against Dynamo-Shinnik on February 16 and 17. The first game starts at 2 p.m., the second game starts at 4 p.m. GMT.
