Lost the lead in the game against the leader

On December 10, Taifun hosted the JHC Dinamo-Shinnik. In Vladivostok, the guests began their Far Eastern trip. The team from Bobruisk is at the top of the Silver Division Standings.
Taifun, that gained momentum at the start of the season, has been losing positions. The Primorye team has dropped from third place to seventh, with a total of 17 points. Their challengers are SKA-Junior, Sakhalin Sharks, and Kapitan, each team had 19 points at the start of the match.
As for interesting changes in Taifun roster, 16-year-old defenseman Matvei Kravtsov played his first match on home ice today. Also, the youth team also included player Nikita Susuyev from HC Admiral.
The first goal of the game was scored a couple of minutes after the start, with the guests scoring. Taifun scored too by the middle of the period. Nikita Susuyev finished off the power play with a perfect shot from the face-off circle. Anton Shkolny provided him with a goal assist.
A minute before the intermission, Ivan Fomin, receiving a pass from Artyom Plaksin, rushed to attack in penalty kill – 2:1.
At the beginning of the second period, Roman Taranenko increased Taifun’s lead. The forward stole the puck from an opponent and made his way to the net solo – 3:1. In the second half of the period, Dinamo-Shinnik took the lead by scoring three power play goals – 3:4.
In the third twenty minutes, Artyom Kotushenok replaced Ruslan Kakenov in goal. Things went quite well for the home team, as the Primorye players quickly equalized the score. Susuyev and Fomin worked well near the goal, with Fomin being the finisher – 4:4. In the middle of the period, Dinamo-Shinnik took the lead once again – 4:5. Despite the remaining time and attempts to equalize, the Primorye players couldn't change the situation.
The final score of the match was 4:5.
Tomorrow, December 11, Taifun will play a rematch against Dinamo-Shinnik. The game will start at 19:00, and admission is free.
