Got back at Captains

On March 18, Typhoon took revenge in the second game against Captains. After a no score draw in the first game, Primorye team scored four goals, conceding two.

The home team started actively, but conceded a goal in the fifth minute. Despite the fact that Captains continued to attack from the slot dangerously, Typhoon controlled more area. This soon brought results: in the tenth minute, the first offensive line played a beautiful combination, which was finished by Leonid Zhdanovsky’s accurate shot – 1:1.

A minute before halftime, Nikita Kryukov doubled Typhoon's lead after Andrei Florovsky’s assist – 2:1.

In the second period, Typhoon forced the visitors' defensemen to block a lot of shots to help their goalie, but Primorye team still managed to increase the lead. Zhdanovsky made an unbelievable break into the end zone and made a gorgeous assist to Fomin – 3:1.

In the 55th minute, Captains managed to close the gap to a minimum – 3:2. In the end of the match the guests changed the goalie to an extra field player, hoping to draw level, but Ivan Fomin took advantage of the opponent's mistake and sent the puck into an empty net.

Result – 4:2.

On March 20 and 21, Typhoon will play its final games of the season. The team will host their neighbors in the standings and in the region – Sakhalin Sharks.
