Finishing on a sour note
On February 25, Typhoon played a second game against SKA-Junior Academy. On the previous day, Primorye team lost to the hosts with a minimal gap of 3:4.
As in the previous game, Typhoon players were the first to open the scoring. In the middle of the first period, Stepan Levitsky capitalized on a delayed penalty – 0:1.
At the beginning of the second period, Ivan Fomin consolidated the advantage of Typhoon with his one-on-zero attack – 0:2. It seemed that the initiative was in the hands of the guests. However, a few minutes later, the home team closed the gap during the power play – 1:2. This goal shattered Typhoon's confidence, and the team began to make more unnecessary mistakes and violate the rules.
The turning point of the game was in the final period. In the 50th minute, SKA-Junior evened the score, capitalizing on the power play again – 2:2. Then the home team got ahead, and Typhoon's attempts to draw level in the end resulted in a goal into an empty net.
Result – 4:2.
