Enchanting game
On March 14, Typhoon played a second match against Hors-Karelia. The other day Primorye team defeated the visitors 4:1, scoring all their goals in the third period. The second meeting started much more cheerfully.
The guests opened the scoring in the first seconds of the game. Then they got four minutes of numerical advantage, but Hors-Karelia players failed to capitalize on the power play. However, in the middle of the period the guests managed to beat Alexei Noskov for the second time, doubling their lead – 0:2.
Two minutes later Ivan Fomin managed to close the gap. The forward scored a goal in his 50th game in JHL, earning his 40th point in the season. In the remaining minutes of the period, Typhoon players scored four more goals. First Yegor Chebykin drew level, then Nikita Kryukov put the team ahead with his breakaway, sending the “parachute” puck into the net – 3:2. Defenseman Roman Yefimov and forward Demyan Yermak scored goals in the final seconds. The teams went into the first break with the score 5:2.
The goaling extravaganza continued in the second period. Nikita Susuyev, on loan from Admirals, scored in the fifth minute of the period. A few minutes later the fans saw another goal from this line by Artyom Plaksin (7:2). In the second half of the period, Nikita Kryukov scored a double – 8:2, then the forward had a chance to score a hat trick, but the goal was canceled due to goalie interference.
At the start of the final twenty minutes, the visitors managed to score one more goal, but Typhoon soon increased the lead again. Leonid Zhdanovsky outplayed the defenseman on the slot and assisted Florovsky, who finished the attack – 9:3.
In the middle of the period, Yegor Chebykin got into a scuffle with an opponent, for which both players were sent to the penalty box. A minute later, a Hors-Karelia player roughly played against Alexei Ivashinnikov and received a major penalty for the rest of the game. In response, Typhoon defenseman sent the tenth puck into the visitors' net after Kryukov's assist – 10:3. The guests still had the final say, scoring a goal in the 58th minute of the game.
Result – 10:4.
Typhoon will play the next games against Captains on March 17 and 18. Both games start at 9:00 a.m. GMT.
