Could not catch up the leader

After several games in Saint Petersburg and Moscow, Typhoon went to Belarus city of Bobruisk for two matches against the favorite of Silver Division – Dynamo-Shinnik.

On February 16, the teams played the first game of the series. At the start, Typhoon had the advantage as a couple minutes on the power play. Yefimov shot dangerously from the blue line, and Fomin tried to score from a tight angle, but the goalie of Dynamo-Shinnik played well. Belarusians are one of the best players to capitalize on the power play in the league: in the middle of the period, they seized an opportunity, and it took only four seconds to beat Noskov. Typhoon managed to kill a penalty next time, but Primorye team missed an accurate shot right after the fifth field player went on the ice. The teams went to the first break with the score 2:0.

The second period passed with the advantage of the guests, Ilgiz Nuriev's team played more confidently and had several opportunities to close the gap. The most dangerous shot was made by forward Roman Strochkin, but the home team's goalie was reliable. The score remained unchanged.

The third period started with a quick goal by Belarusians – 3:0. The character of Typhoon players was not broken, in the 51st minute of the game Primorye team managed to outplay Anton Krupovets. The attack was performed by the forwards of the first and fourth lines: Ivan Fomin and Yaroslav Migal broke out for two-on-two attack, Fomin assisted, and Migal successfully finished the moment. Three minutes before the final buzzer, the visitors' coaching staff pulled the goalie to add an extra field player. Typhoon's offensive attempts were interrupted by a clash of players in the last minute. After coincidental penalties, the pace of the game was slowed down, and soon the hosts threw the puck into an empty net.

Result – 4:1.
