Beginning in the Northern capital
Typhoon players went on their new away series. Ilgiz Nuriev's team will play away from Vladivostok for the whole of February. The first stop is Saint Petersburg. In the Northern capital Typhoon will play against Dynamo Saint Petersburg and SKA-1946.
The game against Dynamo will be held on February 4 3:30 p.m. GMT.
Opponent – JHC Dynamo SPb, St. Petersburg
Last season, Dynamo finished eighth in Gold Division of the West. In the play-in, Dynamo players faced Amur Tigers, who won Silver Division. The team from Khabarovsk won the first game in St. Petersburg, then Dynamo SPb celebrated success twice. In the first round of the playoffs there was a derby: Dynamo encountered SKA-1946. The Army men won the first two games confidently (5:0, 7:2), but then Dynamo SPb responded in the same way in Yubileyny Sports Palace (5:2, 4:3). In the decisive match the favorite was stronger (5:0).
There were changes in the coaching staff of Dynamo SPb during the current season: Igor Efimov became the head coach. He replaced Valery Afanasiev, who worked with the team since the 2023/2024 season.
In the season 2024/2025 Igor Efimov's team played 38 games and earned 51 points. Dynamo ranks fifth in Gold Division.
Confrontation record
There are 29 games between Typhoon and Dynamo SPb. The team from Vladivostok has two wins in regulation time, three wins in overtime and one win by shootout. Dynamo has 23 wins, all in regulation time.
The teams met in mid-November in Vladivostok, when Typhoon was defeated 0:5.
